The Bakehouse - Cooroy - Sunshine Coast - Qld The Bakehouse at Cooroy is one of three in the area owned by the Green and Kovacs families. The others are at Noosaville and Tewantin. All the breads and cakes are baked at the Noosaville factory and then retailed through the three outlets. Fellow motorhomer and now a Cooroy resident Helene Procter, had heard excellent recommendations for the "Sticky Date Pudding", so we thought it was a good opportunity to buy one and share with her during a recent visit. That's a hard morning tea to take! Pies and breads are their speciality - but we reckon they could add their cakes and pastries as well. |

Even though it was only 7.30 am, Betty was full of life and smiles. We also purchased a loaf of bread for later use and a couple of croissants just to take the edge off our appetites. Hours are 7 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday - Saturday 7.00 am to 12.30 pm - Sunday 7.30 am to 12.00 pm. |

As we had purchased a new loaf of bread from the Bakehouse, the ducks at the Botanical Gardens on the waters edge of Lake MacDonald, welcomed the leftovers from the day before. If you're in the area, these ducks are obviously spoilt by many visitors. They are almost tame, but didn't especially like Rex, so he stayed in the motorhome. The plumage colour is strong and vibrant, so they must be in excellent health. |
