| Everything from the many varieties of bread - ranging from standards like white and wholemeal to grain and sourdough and all in between - plus all the cakes, slices and enticing naughtiness - are made on the premises. "I bake fresh daily," Phillip told me. "The aim is to sell out every day with no left overs. Most days I succeed!" And when you taste things like our delicious Bear's Paw (or Elephant's Foot as Bob insisted on calling it - he reckons it is far larger than a bear!) it's no wonder why. We called in about 6.30 am for some bread, ended up with a Bear's Paw with custard and apple as well. There were already several locals there procuring their fresh daily supplies |
