Not only is there an excellent camping spot in this proud town, but an excellent bakery. We always look to see how many locals frequent the cafes, take away shops, etc. and in this case, there were quite a few people sitting in the late summer sun enjoying their cappuccinos and treats at morning tea time. The staff were very well dressed in their black and white check tops and black shirts/pants and presented a very professional image. This followed through into the cakes, slices and breads. You can even have luscious looking buns and sandwiches made fresh to order. |

| Since it was nearly lunchtime, Bob decided a vegetable pastie was the go and I fell back on one of my usual sweet favourites, plus we got our grained bread to make sandwiches later. The cappuccinos were excellent steaming hot with just the right amount of froth. One of the most unusual things we have ever seen a staff member taking out trays of cakes to the customers vehicle. Yes, that is true country style service. |

| We had no problems parking across the road but Woolworths is just up the road so for motorhomes we would recommend ducking in where you see a spot. Whether for a sit down and much or a take-away for later, the Cottage Bakery is well worth a stop on your travels around Tasmania. |
