Fish and chips are always dearer in NSW than other states, however we felt this one was good value. The salads - big enough to share were $4.50 - interesting dressing as they make it themselves. The seafood pack with NZ Hoki fish, chips, crumbed prawns and calamari was $12.50. We simply asked for an extra piece of fish and shared the chips - yes there certainly was enough. The shop itself is very well presented and similarly with the staff, as they all have uniforms. The shop is billed as the Healthy Alternative.

This is one of the few shops that will actually grill fish for you at no extra cost and not of a greasy griddle plate. We liked their healthy method, as they only grill one side and all the juices are collected in the supplied aluminium tray - it also looks great! The photo below right shows a tiny bit of the range of fresh seafood available.

The photo above left is the Reflections Seafood Restaurant. This is quite upmarket. We liked the way you get to pick your meal. They bring out a very large tray of uncooked seafood and you pick the pieces you like! Selection takes about 15 minutes as the cooking methods are then explained.

The photos above were taken immediately in front of South Beach Seafoods. Pretty stunning! Lots of seats under shady trees, but VERY hilly if you are in a wheelchair etc. There is a nice walk to the left and this goes right around the headland and if you go inland a bit, it brings you back to the fish shop - a good way to walk off some of that extra tucker you put away! No toilets in the immediate area so don't drink toooooo much!

Now this is VERY naughty! Right next door to South Beach is the Cronulla Creamery. Yes this story is supposed to be about fish and chips, BUT this spot is super special. You see the icecreams are actually gelato yet they taste better than dairy based full and double cream! Most of the offerings are related to famous sweet and chocolate "brands". Yes they are to die for! You do get to keep the "plastic cups" - great for jellies in the motorhome! The ones shown were single serves - $3.00.
