| Graham first up cut the vanity unit to suit the washing machine. Unlike what we did in the Leisure Seeker, he completely removed the top bench. The only problem encountered was the venetian blind hitting the top of the lid. A laminated base was made to sit on top of the toilet carpeted base. Graham is thinking about putting a small drip tray on top of this just in case of overflows. The left vertical support in the cabinet had to be moved a little to the right to accommodate the width of the washing machine. This created problems with the lock. Graham solved this one by cutting out a "vee" in the left stile. |

| Graham told us it took 31 trips to Bunnings to do this job! Welcome to the DIY club! The outlet hose was connected to the sink "P" trap. This had to be replaced with one with a fitting for the hose. Again this rather amazingly came from Bunnings. When we tried to find one of these in Brisbane we were told there was no such animal! Don at Winnebago Spares in Emu Plains also has them in stock, BUT be certain to ask for the one with the hose connection as Winnebago are fitting both types in current production. The cold water supply to the machine was done using standard JG fittings available at most caravan suppliers. Graham used the inverter supplied with his Alpine so no extra work was required in the electrical area. WE had to laugh when Graham told us that the idea was "conceived" whilst sitting there on the "toot"! Overall this turned out to be an excellent job and extremely functional. Interestingly Graham had never seen any of the info on the web so it was all 100% his own work. Perhaps one day Winnebago will start offering this idea as an option. |
