Awnings would have to be one of the better inventions in the RV industry. They all suffer from one dreadful annoying affliction - they flap in the wind. There are all sorts of gadgets out they to stop this happening starting with a rope tied around the whole lot! Aussie Traveller supply almost all awnings fitted to Winnebago motorhomes and have come up with a better anti flap idea. It consists of a split rail fitted to each edge of the awning. The edge is physically clamped inside the arm. This has another huge advantage in that one can easily attach walls with zero chance of leakage. The photo above shows an annex also fitted with curved roof rafters. These stop pooling on the awning and overloading.
