Low Cost $50.00 Window Awnings - top job!
| Commercially made window awnings do wonderful things for your motorhome. They increase privacy but more importantly reduce the interior temperature inside your motorhome The only drawback is the high cost - up to $300.00 per window. Some motorhomers put a full size awning on both sides but this increase weight and is even more expensive. The examples shown here really look good, yet cost under $50.00. |

| All fittings are available from most blind manufacturers. All you need is an aluminium roller which you must modify to work in reverse to its original design. Bolts are used to modify the attachment method, however this appears to be fairly straight forward. The wall bracket also came from the blind shop but you can also get these at marine outlets such as Whitworths if like us you prefer stainless steel. The fabric is Coolabah from Bunnings. This is an excellent choice as you can see though it when inside the van, so it doesn't ruin the view! Sorry but we some how lost the address of the chap who did this wonderful work so there is no acknowledgment here. It was on a Winnebago Wilderness at the Brisbane Sunshine Wanderers Xmas 2002 at Buddina on the Sunshine Coast. |
