Solving the Water Drainage Problem on Dometics

Most Dometic fridges sold since 2002 have a defrost water drainage system. It works well however we have yet to come across a manufacturer who actually directs the water outside the fridge compartment. This can cause water damage to the compartment floor. Alan Ware solved the problem on his Winnebago Explorer in a very simple way. He took a piece of irrigation pipe, poked it into the existing rubber outlet hose and the other end went into a new "hole" in the bottom left corner of the removable vent. The photo bottom left shows the hole just below the square hole. Water then drains to the outside. A very clever and very neat solution. Thanks Alan!!
