Easy Electrolux Defrosting

This idea works really well, and compensates for a feature not presently offered by Electrolux by way of auto defrosting. To get around this all you need is any old small 12 volt fan. In smaller fridges you will have to transfer the top shelf contents to an Esky etc. Simply aim the fan at the rear, shut the door and turn on the fan. Air will remove all the frost and ice WITHOUT raising the cabinet temperature. In fridges of 150 litres and larger, all you need to do is move items to a lower shelf. You will have to move the fan every 15 minutes or so. This idea works really well with very little risk of food spoilage and as you can see by the temperature gauge the inside temp is 5 degrees. Keep this idea in mind for all long trips. Don't forget to empty the tray when finished!
