Electrolux Lock Modifications

The modern lock on the Electrolux 3 way fridges is a huge improvement. On ours though it used to sometimes shake loose with quite disastrous results. The techs out at Electrolux in Brendale just outside Brisbane showed us the 2 minute fix. Note the raised centre section on the catch shown in the picture at right. All you do is take a Stanley knife and gently shave off about 1/2mm and screw it back together. This trick stiffens it right up.
