Rear End Power on a Winnie
|
This would have to be one of the best thought out generator set ups we have come across - built by CMCA members Keith and Judy Lellis of Terrigal NSW. We spotted them at Halifax Caravan Park in beautiful Port Stephens NSW. We must point out that there is some fine DIY work going on here with everything in last forever aluminium. Below left is a "balancing" compartment designed to keep the load. The tow ball in the centre is used to carry bikes and when parked to hold up a rather clever clothesline reviewed elsewhere on this site. |

The Honda does not slide out but is designed to work in situ. The exhaust is built in to one side and there are lots of air vents to keep things cool. It is for this reason that the unit has a cover when travelling to keep the dust out. On our demo run it proved to be very quiet indeed! In case you are wondering, nothing is ever towed behind this vehicle. We didn't get a picture but the looks are pretty cool being the type you find on professional builders utes. (recessed) Thanks for sharing your great ideas with us Keith and Judy! |
