Rear Mounted Electrolux Fridges

There are quite a few older model Winnebagos out there with the fridge mounted right at the rear. Most use the old fashioned two vent Electrolux system. This fails miserably whilst the vehicle is on the move due to the low pressure area created right across the rear of the vehicle. This clever solution addresses this problem. All you do is pick up a marine air vent from someone like Whitworth Marine and fit it close to the rear of your motorhome on either side wall. Run an internal hose to the fridge cavity. This scoops the air into the fridge area. The owner reckons that it doesn't collect water and works a treat on 12 volt. We came across this at the CMCA 2004 Tasmanian Rally.
