Security Door and Lock - Low Cost

Jan and Ed from the CMCA Central Coast Wanderers have made a very low cost security door on their Winnebago A Class Freeway. Ed has taken the normal Hehr screen door and attached grills using standard materials available from Bunnings. He has also added a security bolt operated only by a key and for further good measure put an interference deterrent in the form of a piece of clear perspex near the lock mechanism. Now the finished door can never take the place of a full blown door like the one made by Roamsafe however it is fantastic for chapter weekends and those hot nights when you are inside the van with the door open. Flyscreen is standard fibreglass and is therefore cheap and easy to replace. An advantage of this design is that it does not interfere with the existing Hehr door locking mechanism. A great idea Ed!
