UHF Radio Repeater Stations
| Repeater stations increase the range of your UHF radio by sometimes up to 100 kms. They operate on channels 1 to 8. Repeaters are located in prime locations like on top of towers and on high mountains and retransmit weak signals from handheld and mobile radios on the higher channels. Just refer to your handbook to learn how to use them - note that not all UHF CBs support repeater operation. We suggest you print out the lists provided on The Australian Ameteur Radio site. This is an excellent site but wont help you with how to use repeaters. If you are interested in the more advanced CTCSS system there is a lot of info on this Florida site. |
