Around-Oz: Living the Dream!

Tickled Pink - Mercedes Benz
Swagman Review - continued . . .

The shot below shows the electrical control system. Nothing digital as it is all original, The lounge is of the night and day style and was light years ahead of its time way back in 1991! There is an extensive entertainment system above both passenger and drivers seats.

The kitchen only has a two burner gas stove - no oven. We thought this a rather odd omission. We particularly liked the real brass hanging ornament - very homely looking.

The white tiles shown below were put up by Harry as the originals became a bit dated as tiles so often do. The advantage of white is that it is timeless. Pretty nifty kettle don't you think? Trish found it in a country market for $20.00!

Harry has modernised the bathroom and toilet quite a bit and has done an excellent job on this. The RV only has one water tank but uses three filter systems. Yes that's Harry in relax mode!

The photo top right shows a bit more of the entertainment system. All windows in this RV are of the older sliding type. No security door on the main entry however it does have an interesting curtain to keep insects out.

You will never work out what these next four piccies are about! Harry replaced the shower door for a better model. Spent hours doing it but he failed to check a few things as happens to all of us from time to time. With the car in place you couldn't open the loo door! Ouch!! Harry invented an articulated hinge as shown above and below. We thought this was a rather lateral piece of thinking.

WE found this a distinctive and interesting vehicle and one that obviously gives the owners tons of joy. Isn't that what it's all about? Trish and Harry are on the net and you may be able to contact them via the Road Runners, as they are full timers. handtg@telstra.com.
