It seems an eternity ago that we started our first website. We had an A’van and were amazed at the innovations that owners could make to the one means of camping. Then we started adding reviews of places we stayed and much to Bob’s chagrin, my A-crafty section was in the top three of visitors to our site. So the Around-Oz A’van site grew.

When we augmented our RV activities by getting a motorhome as a mobile office, first with the Winnebago Freeway and when we outgrew this, the Leisure Seeker from the same manufacturer we then started getting requests for motorhome information. This led quite naturally to the Motorhome Section on the Around-Oz site.

The one thing that differentiates our personal site and those we do for our customers, we hope, is the passion we have about Australia, its magnificent outdoor lifestyle and its people.

From our personal site and the obvious love we have for all things Aussie, we were approached by Gary Kratzmann to revamp his website. As the largest dealer in Queensland with five brands of caravans plus 4WD’s, Gary feels the same as we do - this country has so much to offer - just get out there and see it! Maybe you haven’t retired but you can still organise holidays and weekend sanity breaks, get in your caravan or motorhome and off you go.

From there as they say the rest is history - these is a cross section of some of the people we have met who needed a new website, such as

  • Tony Roche of Queensland RV Centre at Warana on Queensland's Sunshine Coast (where we purchased our first and second motorhomes) and who had the vision to see what the internet could do for his expanding motorhome, caravan and 4WD business
  • Collyn Rivers of Broome, Western Australia, who needed an online sales facility for his caravan and motorhome books
  • Evan and Gayle Jones of Crows Nest Caravan Park, Darling Downs, Queensland, who needed more publicity for their excellent park
  • Angus Campbell of Copelands + Pickers, Brisbane, one of Australia’s largest canvas manufacturers of everything from tents to awnings to blinds and annexes
  • Joe Smith of Crows Nest Realty, Queensland, who needed to publicise what the town of Crows Nest has to offer - every facility for every age group from school to retirement
  • Ian and Judy Hall of Top Dog Motorhomes of Mooloolah on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland - a small business, renting motorhomes, just starting out but with huge potential
  • Country Quilt Company of Childers, Queensland, who say the potential to increase their regular newsletter mailouts and at a far cheaper cost through the internet

And people who wanted their old one revamped such as -

  • Gary Kratzmann’s Cars and Caravans, Australia’s largest A’van dealer, and in the top three dealer for Windsor, Supreme, T’van and Goldstream, Brisbane,
  • Aussie Traveller Awnings and Accessories principals, Michael and Gabrielle Freney, Brisbane, whose business plan includes more exporting to USA and overseas markets
  • Phil Procter, author of the Camps Australia Wide book, Cooroy, Qld, who updates his book via the internet, in between editions - this way the book is always current, you can download additions or amendments at any time.
  • Alan Graham’s Caravans and Motorhomes of Gosford, NSW, who was impressed with our love of the RV industry

These are just some examples of our customers who have also become friends. We can turn our hands to virtually anything, as between us, we have extensive experience in many facets of business from manufacturing to retailing, from banking and superannuation to engineering, and a lot in between. We like to think that we not only design your website but that we can assist with practical help for your business - draw on our own experiences and maybe share our knowledge with you.

Distance is not a problem - we have country and interstate clients away from our home base in Queensland. We are completely mobile, can upload to your site from anywhere in Australia, can be contacted by email or CDMA or digital phone at all times.

We can make your site as basic or as fancy as you wish - we use absolutely top end software and always keep up-to-date with current trends. The main aim is to make your presence user friendly - non-itimidating to the older or inexperienced internet person - plus get the maximum number of people to your site.

So if you like what you see on the Around-oz site and are considering creating a new website or revamping your current one, please don’t’ make a final decision until you talk with us. You will find we are different from the computer type nerds who do a lot of this work - we put the sizzle in your website sausage!
