Around-Oz: Living the Dream!

A-Frame Roundup 2003

There is now a choice of three A-Frames. First up there is the very nicely engineered Swagman version which would have to be the most high tech version available. Then there is the Winnebago method which is commendable in they went to so much trouble seeking approvals and finally Albert Schimmel has come up with an excellent home built version costing under $1000.00

Swagman Solution
Unlike any other tow bar, the Sterling A-Frame Tow Bar package comes complete with safety cables and electrical wiring cord. Both are conveniently routed through the arms. No more cables and cords wrapped around the bar! Most importantly, you will find the Sterling A-Frame Tow Bar is extremely simple to operate.

The Winnebago System
Winnebago are also developing a system which believe has been approved. As yet there is no information on their website but please keep checking back as it must be very close. http://www.winnebago.com.au

The Home Handyman Method!
This really is a David and Goliath story. Despite all the odds a CMCA member up in Townsville has managed to get a unit approved. Overall cost is well under $1000.00. More information on Albert's excellent website http://www.aframe.250x.com/
