Let's start with the cost! Just $460.00 for a full 500 watts of grunt! It is a full sine wave inverter and the manufacturer claims that it is ideal even for sensitive gear such as computers. It is fan cooled and has over/under voltage protection as well as overheating cut out. You really feel like you are getting bang for your bucks with this inverter, as it is quite large, but not at all heavy. The idea is probably to present a large "heatsink" surface. We were unable to find out if it is double isolated, so if using it installing everything above earth and following the makers instructions exactly could be a good idea. There is what looks like an earth terminal on the rear. We particularly liked the large very positive input terminals mounted on the rear. This low price seems to only be offered by Solar Panel Express in Queensland.
