Willing Workers on Organic Farms

WWOOF wont suit all motorhomers, but it is one way to help those on a very tight budget actually get out there in the great outdoors. It works like this. You buy a list of organic farms (1200) for $50.00 for singles or $60.00 for doubles. Pick out places that take your fancy and arrange a stay. You then give 4 to 5 hours work a day in the garden in return for free food and board. Be aware that many farms are "alternative" lifestyle. The problem with the site is you don't get any "samples" of the types of properties on offer. You could do your dough if you don't like what's offered. There is a forum so you could hop in there and ask around. The website is a wee bit on the frustrating side, but persevere! The cost of the book is actually your membership fee and includes insurance.
